Get Involved!

There are many ways in which people can volunteer to help with our mission!

Help to Fundraise or Educate

Frankie's Friends needs help with a variety of events that we have throughout the year. We are working to get our name out there, let people know what we do, raise funds, and educate the community on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.

Foster a Cat or Kitten

Frankie's Friends focuses on low cost spay and neuter services and veterinary care. Sometimes we rescue homeless cats, however, we are not a shelter. We rely on nice families to take in and provide love and care for these cats while we search for their permanent home.

Help to Socialize and Provide Company to Cats

As our cats wait for new homes, we need help socializing them with people. Some feral cats are able to transition into home life after rehabilitation. These cats are initially afraid of people but they benefit immensely from continuous human exposure and can learn that life is good as a house cat. We need experienced cat handlers to socialize and spend time with these cats at the Adoption Center, or you can sign up to be a foster and help these kitties at home.

Care for a Cat Colony

Cats who are not suitable candidates for home life may be returned to an outdoor colony where they can still have good lives with human care. They do well when provided with food, water, proper shelter, and vet care when necessary. If you have questions about how to care for outdoor cats or would like to help someone who is already managing a colony, please let us know.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

If you are working with a colony of feral cats or notice a stray that is living near your home, it is important to have those cats trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to the area from which they came. We can help you with this by loaning a trap, if they are available, and scheduling for you to come to our clinic for low cost spays/neuters and treatments.
